Why people are floating in the Dead Sea?
The salinity level at the Dead Sea is very high.
The Dead Sea is ranked fourth in the world, in the scale of salt lakes. The difference between the Dead Sea and those that bypass, it is less than 2 percent.
There is only one small lake located in Antarctica, where the salinity level is much higher. And apparently it is not in the salinity hierarchy because it is so small.
The high salinity level indicates a higher mass of material much more than other water lakes. Density – as is known – is mass material.
When we put into the water a body that is heavier than the water, the body sinks and squeezes the water out.
If the body density is the same as the density of the liquid, it will displace exactly the same amount of water, so the body will be submerged to the top but will not sink.
And most importantly, let’s enjoy the Dead Sea, the magical place relaxed and of course also healthy.
Enjoy.
